Our life can become whatever we make it to be. Often, we get our thoughts and base our actions on the belief systems we have grown up with and taught by our parents, teachers and friends. But keep in mind that these may not always contribute to our success, as things keep change and instead by focusing more on our thoughts, skills, and expertise based on our own circumstances we may be more productive as well as successful.

In the highly challenging work environment of today, productivity is an essential factor to our output as well as success. We need to focus on and optimize the environment we are working in, ensuring that our mind is focusing on the required task at hand and also have clarity on the goal we want to achieve and the priorities attached to it.

We should create a work environment that makes us feel focused and productive without wasting any time. This we can do by ensuring all distractions including phone calls, emails and chat are turned off. We should schedule meetings and other interactions with our team and colleagues so that we have time to ourselves to work on important tasks without any disturbance and interruptions.  

We also need to enhance our thinking and optimize our mind which we can do so by recharging it . One good rule of thumb is to take a 10-15 minute break every couple of hours. Returning refreshed after the break improves our productivity and helps to focus on the task at hand. Apart from this looking after our body, by hydrating it, by having a healthy diet, taking vitamin supplements as required all contribute to improving energy level, our productivity and helping to optimize our performance. Last but not least, do not forget the importance of exercise, it can be as simple as having a regular morning/evening walk or following an exercise program. Body fitness contributes to mental fitness and energizes one for the day to come. Also remember that being stress free helps to develop awareness and clarity. So finding the time for yourself and your personal interests is very important for health and happiness.   


  1. IDENTIFY YOUR PURPOSE : We all want to live a life that is fulfilling and with a sense of purpose. By identifying our purpose we are guided in using our limited resources be it our time, energy or other assets. Clarity of purpose also helps to identify principles and beliefs that help us in making the right choices and decisions.
  2. BE MOTIVATED :  In order to enhance ones life we should have the inner desire to do it. We should aspire to make the best of our career and personal goals. We can do this by knowing our capabilities, being sure of what we can do and make the required effort to accomplish it. Being motivated to do so would come from valuing and appreciating our life and moving in the direction we want, in order to achieve our goals.  
  3. FOLLOW THE RIGHT PRACTICES – Developing the correct habits and routine help to produce the best results. Results always depend on the processes followed and the practices used. If you are not satisfied with the results, review the practices you are following and change them as required. This is a universal norm and this applies not only to organizations but also individuals in their daily life. For an individual this comprises of our habits, behaviours and lifestyles. 

In order to optimize our life we need to identify and implement the right purpose, motivation and also practices. It is only by doing so that we will be able to lead a productive and satisfying life filled with a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

We need to remember that a person often becomes what they believe themselves to be. If we keep on saying to ourselves that we cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that we may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if we have the belief and faith in ourselves that we can do it, we shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if we may not have it at the beginning.

Having a purpose is the motivation which gets us moving and supports us to make life more meaningful. It helps to activate a person and attract all those things which one wants to achieve in life. You may draw and build better health, a successful career, happiness and also attain peace of mind. Your outer world starts to become a clear reflection of your thoughts and wants.
